Duties:

100Applicants should have record of education and excellence in one of the areas of growth for INE. These include: transportation and infrastructure, energy and natural resources, water and climate and the environment. The Institute of Northern Engineering (INE) seeks research faculty in growth areas. Appointments will generally be made at the assistant research professor level, though higher ranks will be considered. We are particularly interested in faculty that match well with our growth areas, transportation and infrastructure, energy and natural resources, water and climate and the environment. Research faculty positions in INE are grant funded, though the institute will provide 3 months of salary support when warranted. Although an earned doctorate is not mandatory, it is highly recommended. Successful applicants will have a demonstrated success record in research, including publications and outreach.

Background Check:

The successful applicant is required to complete a background check. Any offer of employment is contingent on the background check.

Term Position:

This position term-funded and is reviewed annually for contract renewal at the University's discretion.

This position is part of the United Academics union (UNAC) and is subject to union dues as a condition of employment in a collective bargaining unit.
