Position Summary:UAF eLearning seeks an instructional designer to work with faculty members to create online courses in a variety of disciplines, teach faculty and staff about teaching online, and further eLearning's mission of providing a high quality, interactive educational experience to students around Alaska... and the world. Applicants must be energetic, team oriented, versatile with technology, and interested in working with collaborative software, cloud-based apps, multimedia production, and various learning management and web delivery platforms to create meaningful learning experiences. Applicants will be required to submit a portfolio showcasing their work in in these areas.
10Actively search for new technologies, software, and practices to enable or enhance electronic distance delivery.Essential
10Prepare and deliver seminar-style instruction for faculty to acquaint them with electronic course delivery methods and theory.Essential
15Collaborate with CDE staff to promote innovative delivery methods and techniques.Essential

UAF eLearning seeks an instructional designer to work with faculty members to create online courses in a variety of disciplines, teach faculty and staff about teaching online, and further eLearning's mission of providing a high quality, interactive educational experience to students around Alaska... and the world. Applicants must be energetic, team oriented, versatile with technology, and interested in working with collaborative software, cloud-based apps, multimedia production, and various learning management and web delivery platforms to create meaningful learning experiences. This position will be member of an established, dynamic team and requires exceptional communication and presentation skills and the ability to efficiently learn about, and integrate, new technologies in a pedagogically sound way.
Minimum of 2 years web design, 1 year print design,and 1 year experience with teaching or delivering seminar-style training.
Salary begins at Grade 80, Step 1 ($27.94/hr), depending on experience.
