*Contingent Upon Contract Award*

The Quality Control Manager will describe all methods, procedures and documentation how to fulfill the quality of the contract and identify potential and actual problem areas in meeting the requirements of the Contract. Responsible for the implementation, documentation, and execution of the quality control system of the project. Ensure projects comply with applicable plans, standards, specifications, and construction practices. This role includes direct oversight and review of the entire documentation and physical inspection of the work flow process to ensure quality is maintained.

Required Skills

  • Plan results of all corrective actions taken through the life of the Contract.

  • Create and manage the quality control plan.

  • Emphasize deficiency prevention over deficiency detection.

  • Additional duties in direct support of departmental mission requirements.

  • Ensure all work is in compliance with contract requirements

  • Review shop drawings for conformance with project specifications

  • Verify and document that all materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal

  • Prepare daily QC reports and submit on a daily basis to the contracting officer

  • Timely completion and collection of inspection reports, as required

  • Maintain project master schedule using CPM techniques

  • Prepare weekly and monthly quality assurance reports

  • Inspect field sites and identify any problems or inaccuracies

  • Identify field site safety hazards and take necessary action to eliminate or minimize them

  • Hold meetings with all stakeholders, as needed, to define QC policies and procedures related to the project

  • Work with co-workers and subcontractors to maintain quality control throughout the project life cycle

  • Maintain a testing plan and log

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Lead and evaluate employee and sub-contractor performance

  • Remove individuals whose work does not comply with contract plan and specifications

  • Ensure projects comply with applicable plans, standards, specifications, and construction practices.

Required Experience

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of five – ten years of professional experience with quality control assurance.

EDUCATION:

College degree and experience working on federal construction projects is required.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License. Must provide an official DMV report.

Able to receive and maintain a favorable Local

Background Check (LBC) and National Agency Check (NAC) as applicable to the position requirements, current and future.
